Re: [A/S] I-70

Tuna, I don't know if you've been to Estes before or not but if not you'll
likely be spending about 35 miles going up the Big Thompson Canyon. It heads
west into the mountains from Loveland. It's a fantastic drive with shear
rock walls. I've never pulled a trailer up that route but I've driven it
many times. I would not hesitate to pull the A/S up (in fact I will next
month) but with my new V10 Super Duty I'm eager to see what will happen. It
can be a bit intimidating but I don't think you'll have any problems. I see
many trailers going up that route. Not at all like Eisenhower Pass. Brings
you up to about 7500 feet. You might have to pull over once or twice to let
the traffic pass, but so much the better! You'll get to enjoy the sounds and
all the rich negative ions of the Big Thompson River.
Do you have a campground picked out? We usually stay at the Spruce Lake
Campground on the west side of town. Nice, full amenity type place.

I'll forward the list of coming events from my Estes Park listserv privately.
