I hear it also on our Safari.  Its the valve/float
assembly inside the tanks that prevents an overfill. 
Once you pull off the road, you will hear the assembly
pinging or clicking back and forth, something like a
pendulim on a clock.  Any vibration to the trailer or
movement to the tank makes that inside assembly move
back and forth.  It eventually settles down and quits
moving.  I know it drove me crazy at first.
