The window used in the new Safari's is a different design than the one 
used in the Excella/Classic/Limited's. The Safari window is a "clamp 
mounted" style which relies on the inside ring to hold it
in the wall. The Excella/Classic/Limited window is more like the older 
style window in which the frame is riveted into the skin. The window 
operation is the same with latches, lifts, positioners etc.
as in the old style. This style window was introduced in 1994. The 
problem with glass breakage has been going on since the beginning. Many 
can be identified to hits, but many more just seem to
"happen". Last year the price of the glass assy. actually went down.
