Hi,
I had two windows blow out on my 99 Safari.  It was not because of the heat 
but because the window control was installed incorrectly and there was 
pressure placed on the glass.  Could this be the problem with your unit.  If 
there was pressure on the glass and add intense heat, boom!  Our windows blew 
out from the pressure of opening them--like an explosion.
