Yep. We used to show dogs, and had to leave those not entered in the
motorhome, so I built a temperature/power sensor that alerted me via beeper
(up to two miles away) if the temperature got too high or the AC power went
off.

Worked well. There are some commercial units out there somewhere, but they
were too expensive.

I could probably come up with the circuit and/or some printed circuit boards
(maybe complete units) if there was interest.
