Hunter,

Unfortunately my two are house dogs and get stirred up
pretty quickly once a loose one comes around.  So
they're yapping away and then the growls start and
while mine may pick the fight, they will not win it. 
I think that small dogs have this wound up spring
inside them...... 

We had two this weekend whose owners took walks around
the campground in the evening with them loose. Of
course they screamed at their dogs who for some
strange reason wanted to visit every other dog who was
on leash and at their site or were being walked.

It's interesting because my experience seems to be the
other way.  I know this weekend I saw some pretty big
piles left behind.
