i used Goof Off to remove the residue from the WBCCI  numbers and it was the 
only thing that even began to loosen the glue.  WD40 did absolutely nothing 
nor did kerosene.  Goof Off also cleaned off old tar splatters on the front 
of the unit and made it shine in spots - now maybe I will have to shine the 
whole thing, I was trying to preserve it's patina. Oh well. I don't 
understand how the glue residue can stick to the trailer so well and not keep 
the numbers stuck on, I only had them on for 2 years when they began to peel 
off on the rear - front ones are OK.
