[A/S] Dometic Fridge Repair?

Hello All,I have a '92 Excella with a Dometic fridge (I forget which model.)  Last 
week I discovered a strong ammonia smell in both the freezer and fridge 
compartments, just inside not outside in the access compartment behind 
the fridge.  Obviously the system is leaking ammonia.  I'm wondering if 
the ammonia, water portion of the system is repairable or is replacement 
of the whole unit the only way to go.  I've looked in the Dometic manual 
and in a generic repair manual and can find nothing about the repair of 
the absorption system.  Has anyone been down this road?TIA
