Which (from a very new, relative outsider's opinion) is too bad, since a) a 
lot of people seem to subscribe to both lists, and topics - even messages - 
are often repeated; and b) this Airstream list comes through (at least to 
my computer) a lot cleaner in digest form; the VAC message compilation has 
lots of extra postings and assorted odd computer characters scattered 
throughout.  [is this a problem with just my computer, or have others noticed?]

I'm sure there's some quasi-political or historical reason combining the 
lists hasn't happened.... but it would seem to make sense.  Just my 2 cents
