[A/S] Univolt Question

Rig: 1972 27' Overlander

Purchased less than a month ago. I bought a battery, put it in the 
compartment, hooked everything up. Bingo. AC outlets working fine. 
All 12V lighting working fine. Battery seems to be charging.

I knew I had one 40amp fuse blown in the Univolt. It was the one for 
the car battery. I'm assuming that is the fuse that when the system 
is hooked to my tow vehicle, is inline for it charging the car 
battery. I bought a new fuse, put it in, all things ok.

I happened to notice a bizarre looking black plastic fuse with copper 
ends on it in the #2 circuit spot in the Univolt. I checked the 
manual, and it showed just regular 20 amp glass fuses like the ones 
in the other 3 circuits. So, I replaced the "bizarre" fuse, with a 
standard 20 amp.

Two days later. I have no 12V lighting, but still have AC power. I 
checked and rechecked the fuses 15 times, everything is fine. I put 
my tester on the battery while hooked up to the system in the battery 
compartment, and I get 0.15 reading. I disconnect the quick connect 
cables, and while testing the battery, the reading jumps to 10.01. 
Shouldn't the Univolt be putting out 12-14V to the battery for 
charging purposes? When I put the tester on the output of the 
univolt, I get nothing. The unit is humming like it always did. I 
checked to make sure there were no other fuses anywhere else that 
might be blown. I don't think I am missing anything.

HELP!!!! I'm fairly mechanical to a point with electrical, but I 
think I am at the end of my ability. I put everything back exactly 
the way it was before this happened, and still nothing.

I posted some pictures of the Univolt on my web page, and that odd 
fuse (odd to me.) Any input would really be helpful at this point. 

Is it possible that Univolt is fried?
