Lindeen is the name of a company that makes Lexan vent covers for 
numerous applications including the "Hammond" style used by Airstream. 
The pluses are guarantees against hail and sun rot and they
allow more light through. The minus is that it has no dead air space 
gap. Other wise you go through the same routine installing them. Cost is 
nearly the same.
