Gary,
 The older furnaces have a pilot light that must be lit manually,
usually with a piezo ignitor if it's not a certifiable antique. Dunno
about yours.

When we park, we pull the 5/8" pin and unplug the ball mount from the
truck, then reinstall it in the trailer's hitch socket. Swing the
'stinger' to the side so you don't bash your shins on it. I'll either
lay the anti-sway bar on top of the propane tanks or lay it just inside
the tailgate to the truck. Or, store it in my "step box" (see

The newer A/S trailers don't need to be switched to shore power, the
UniVolt automatically takes over and supplies 12 volts when plugged in.

In theory, a 15-amp circuit is enough to power your A/C, as the unit
draws only 13 amps or so. You won't be able to run much of anything else
like a coffee pot, microwave, etc. if the A/C is running. Be sure to
obtain a voltmeter from Camping World, Radio Shack, et. al. and check it
when the A/C is running; you need over 105 volts, 110 is much better.
