Kellie, that is a problem that happens from time to time. All the
suggestions previously mentioned may work, but if not most states have a
mechanism to petition the court for an order directing the clerk to issue a
title. You will need the documentation you already have as well as the
certified letter requesting the seller to provide the necessary paper work
to complete the transfer. That is not really an exercise in futility, as you
would need that to demonstrate to the court that you tried to get it
transfered in the usual fashon. These matters are usually handled in the
lowest court, and sometimes you can do it yourself, without an attorney.
