How interesting that you should find that dolly info.  Don Watson and 
his father produced the Watson Dolly from 1933 thru mid 70's and this 
is how this system came to be developed.  I have advertising pics for 
Watson Dolly depicting AJ Watson's race trailer with his Indy car 
onboard with "Johnny Rutherford" as driver on the cowl.  (Sorry, I 
don't have a scanner).  Keep in mind those cars travel in 747's 
today.  Incidentally, AJ won Indy several times.  Once 1 & 2 and the 
end of the roadster era virtually every car in the Indy field was a 
Watson.  "Very prolific family".  


Don't we all wish we had deeper pockets.  If I did, I'd donate the 
trailer to the Henry Ford museum.  There's already a teardrop trailer 
w/ a Watson Dolly there.
