Hi Hunter,
I've been towing a TT for almost 20 years so I do know
that rule.  I really meant that I normally keep the
grey water empty as I travel.  Normally I dump the
black when full at my destination (unless it fills
before).  If I'm on the way home, I either fill it
completely and dump before I depart, or I fill it and
dump at my last stop prior to getting home.  I never
dump a partial black tank.

Thanks for your concern though.  I've seen others
sitting at campgrounds hooked up to a sewer with both
valves pulled open.  You might as well consider your
toilet an outhouse at that point.
