At the time I got mine, I ordered directly from the company through my 
service station.  Dealer cost was just less than $200.00.  Installed 
cost is around $4-500 depending where you go.  (This is for
a four wheel system.)  I think Sears is a vendor.

Yes, the tires have to come off to change the batteries.  They have a 
five year life, the same as your tires.  There is a motion sensor in the 
 sender to shut the transmitter off when the vehicle is
not in motion.

    A.    I've had mine pick up on a low tire within 100' of hookup.
    B.    I've sustained coach damage due to several miles on a blown 
tire.

A. is better than B. any day.
