I know, it does seem silly, but that's what the instructions in the manual say (pg. 26-28, steps 1-6)...They use this process to make sure the angle of all the hitch parts are the same. I did it once, and don't plan to do it again....:-) Thanks for the info...I'll keep it in mind on our next attempt! John
