Vulkem 116 is the preferred and recommended sealant for Airstreams.
there are some others that folks have used, you might want to check the
archives. Other sealants, especially silicone, contain stuff that will
corrode, apparently, the alluminum we are all so fond of. It is mighty
stuff. Remains good forever, no chalking or drying into rigid chunks. I
apply it failry liberally and then clean up with paint thinner and 1000
paper towels. It is arround at big stores, and you can always get it at
