Jim,

This is laymen's terminology, not very scientific, but you can think of
voltage and current like pressure and flow rate in a water pipe.  Greater
voltage, given the same resistance, (higher water pressure) will produce
higher current (greater flow rate of water.)

This may make EEs cringe, but for a common sense understanding, maybe
they'll let me get away with it.
