Kurt, If I'm interpreting you correctly I believe you are saying a 45 amp
battery charger (like the Inteli-Power or the StatPower would be sized right
for rapid charging of two 6 V golf cart batteries. I'm assuming there is no
concurrent load on the battery. Is that correct? What would be the
appropriate capacity charger for a typical 12V deep cycle battery. I assume
more amperage would be needed if lights and other 12VDC is being used while
the battery is being charged. Is that correct?

I'm pretty fuzzy about the relationship between charge amperage and charge
voltage. Sounds like voltage needs to taper off as the battery comes up to
full charge. What happens to amperage -- does it taper off also?
