Don,
 Good points!

There's a couple of things that would help: if the TV has a 12VDC power
jack, use that instead of the 115VAC plugin. If it doesn't have a 12VDC
input, use a small inverter to power it from the batteries. You'd
probably want such capability anyway if you might want to watch TV while
boondocking.
