Joy,
You can plug your trailer into a 20-amp receptacle and operate anything
you want, given:
A heavy-duty cord of at least 14 guage (rated for 15 amps) that's not
too long, say 25' or so.
And you run only ONE heavy-draw appliance at a time. Don't try to
operate the A/C and a coffee pot or microwave oven simultaneously.
The breaker or fuse feeding the outlet should protect the wiring and the
receptacle.
If you want assurance, check the voltage in the trailer while operating
the A/C to be certain it stays above 110 or so. Check for heat at the
plug/receptacle while the A/C is running, there should be none.
