Bob,
	It will work.  The problem I see is that you will be adding a lot of
weight to the trailer with 2 banks of batteries.  You may want to
consider this in your plan.
	Also, letting the puller idle will charge the batteries but at a huge
(IMO) cost.  I would guess that the charge rate would be less than 4
amps which would be about 50 watts.  If you run this setup for 20 hours,
you will have ten cents worth of electric (except in California).  I
think it would be better to use a small generator.
