Hi John,
That's the original bathroom sink for the later Flying Clouds.  
Replacing that free standing unit with a built-in unit changes the 
fix-up job from plain "trouble" to "lengthy and expensive time-consuming 
trouble" (experience talking) to get it right.  Airstream used the open 
base lav sink to get a little more leg/foot room at the entryway into 
the cramped bathroom.

What is the serial # of your FC?  It seems Airstream commingled the 
serial #'s of the California Safaris & Flying Clouds from '57 to 
'62, and we're trying to determine a decipher code.
