I called a couple of times about used polishers but Jim was always
rather cryptic and I gave up.

Here is a site with drums and air motors for sale. Being a
machinist, you might want to put your own polisher together. The
also have some good info at this site:

While you are at it visit Roy Lashway's site chock full of good
information about polishing. His site is worth copying for your own
archives.

Keep in mind Jim that most of these drum polishers require three to
four times the volume of air that most small shop compressors are
capable of. The small detailing wheels will require 25 to 30 cfm,
while the large drums will want  80 - 90 cfm to keep up with you so
you are not always waiting. In any event, I wish you well and I'll
probably be tracking along with you. Although, I won't be doing any
cutting. Mine should go pretty fast.
