I just went up to take my first look at our newly delivered Safari.  It 
got in Friday and we will be bringing it home on Friday after an 
overnight at the dealer.  Since spare tire carriers are not ususal on 
the tandom axle units, I thought you might be interested in several 
pictures of how this arrangement is set up.  Check out the file folder 
2001 Safari Spare Tire Holder.

The only down side is that the holder lessens the clearance from the 
road.  I will have to be careful here.
