[A/S] Moving and must sell the 56 Overlander

Well, gang.....
Recent developments have made me decide to move nearer to my family in
the Northwest. I have a 55 Safari there and here in RI, a 58 Traveler
and a beautiful original 56 Overlander. One has to go. The Traveler is
such a handy size for a single guy with Bassets, so reluctantly it is
the Overlander that must be sold. The Overlander is completely original
except for the floor tiles. Everything worked when I got it, when I
cleaned it up and removed the old propane tanks and put it in storage.
Don't know how the systems are after 3 1/2 years in storage. The only
problems I know of right off are: soft floor right around the door
because the seal/gasket has dried up, needs new sofa upholstery, needs
three new foam mattresses for the twins and one bunkover, needs
curtains. Of, course it would need modifications to bring it up to date
in the holding tank age and any other updates to make it more camper
friendly. I towed it from Virginia to Rhode Island and it towed like a
dream. I replaced the split rims last year. I am letting you all and
the VAC list know before I put it on the sale sites on the web because
I'd rather an Airstream enthusiast bought this one and respected it for
what it is, than some yaboo who wanted to rip it up and make something
of it that it aint. I will be asking for the best offer over $5000.
The price is for the original condition and overall desirability. Will
put it up online next week. I took a slew of photos and will send them
off list to anyone who is interested, even if you are not a buyer and
just want to check out the trailer FYI.
