[A/S] airstream newbie

Hello !

       I just joined this list because i am determined that i will one day 
own a older model Airstream.  I think IM already addicted to them.  LOL  I 
made the mistake of looking at a 1965 international Soverign 30' yesterday 
and I have questions for those of you who know more about these things.  

       Was the soverign the " deluxe " model???

       Does anyone know what the sticker price for this model was when it was 
new??

       Can anyone interpret the number on the trailer?  SI 30 S 5564

       The owner says that all appliances and the air works . the body is in 
good shape except for two small ( hand sized ) dents that look like they 
could be pushed out real easy.  the exterior is still shiney but has oxidized 
some and needs polishing for sure.  I can buy this for $2000.00.  Is this a 
good buy???? The front fan vent has been removed and covered with tin and 
that is the most obvious thing i can see that is wrong wiht the trailor.
