Jerry,

I think the WBCCI numbers can be removed with careful application of heat
from a hair dryer.  Use the heat sparingly to avoid damaging the clearcoat
finish.  Be aware that the ghosts of the removed numbers will show due to
sun fading, etc.

Another possible alternative would be to join the WBCCI using the same
numbers if the former owner is no longer a member.
