Re: [A/S] Christmas, Florida - March 8, 2001
Hunter,
Christmas, Florida. Frostproof, Florida. Great names!
> Last night I heard about the Discovery launch,
I understand that the sight is unbelievable from Titusville. I was chatting
with some folks that stay at the Great Outdoors RV and Golf Resort who just
rave about the space shots. I guess that resort is a pretty spot too.

I was chatting with a few folks from the Cape Cod Unit at Travelers Rest and
said Linda was there too. She gets around. I think Carl and Cindy met her
in Calif. too! I met Linda at the Region rally in Maine last year and
before in Rhode Island at a Unit rally. The Dog Lady.

Some of the nicest folks have Airstreams!

Where are you off to this spring? Come to New England this summer!
> don't ever want to see snow again unless it's on the TV.
I think the snow will be long gone by July! We got just 5-6" on the coast
below Boston. In Vermont...30". More tomorrow!
> cooler since, low 70s today.
I chat with a friend at TR a few time a week on Internet Telephone, (pretty
cool too), he said it was 30 there this morning. He turns the thermostat to
55 at night. The heat came on thru the night several times! Brrrr!
I missed going to the Sarasota Rally. That is usually one great take. I
heard the Airstream dealer sold 8 motor homes! It is a great spot to see
folks you don't get to see all year while on the road. The entertainment is
usually pretty good and the vendors have just about everything.
The only drawback is if you park close to the inner road, you get dust all
day long. It washes off though.
Ever camped in the Keys?
I've heard of a great campground called Fort De Soto Park Campground. It
comes highly recommended by some vintage folks I know. It is near
Bradenton.
