Joy, 
That's too bad. I thought copper normally did not corrode? The copper 
plumbing in my coach is in excellent shape.  I wonder if there was 
some form of galvonic action occuring there? If I were in the 
position where I had to be replaced the plumbing, I think I'd go with 
the plastic pipe.  For my skill level, it is much easier to work 
with.
