I have used the McKesh mirrors on a 1999 Suburban for several thousand
miles in all types of weather.  IMHO, if the mirrors are installed
according to directions they will cause no permanent damage.  The only
noticeable change is that it takes about 24 hours for the outer window
rubber wipe to return to it's normal shape after removal of the mirrors.

My experience is that they extend beyond the width of a wide body
Airstream for a clear view behind and do not vibrate in use.
