Kym; Parts for your furnace will require the model number, as for the pilot
going out, your guess of the thermocouple is one possible cause although
they are sealed units. It may be loose at the attachment to the gas valve, a
3/8 or 5/16 nut holding it to the valve, or the pilot is not hot enough to
pressurize the thermocouple. Worse case the gas valve may be bad, again the
model number is necessary to identify the correct part.
