Harvey is quite possibly correct. It does sound like your thermocouple.
Fortunately Suburban used a common type thermocouple. All you will need to know
is the total length to get a replacement. If they don't have the exact size, get
the next size longer. Just loop the excess out of the way so it doesn't touch
anything. One little trick you might try in the mean time. Use a small wrench
and tighten the nut on the end at the gas valve 1/4 turn, no more. Sometimes the
heat/cool cycle causes them to loosen. If it comes down to replacing the
thermocouple be sure when you install it not to over tighten it. Finger tight
plus a 1/4 turn is the recommend
