Re: [A/S] OPDs On Vertical LPG Tanks
Thanks Harvey
So I am guessing that the hold down hardware is different for aluminum tanks
and the current configuration for steel tanks will not work?
Also, what is "Tare Weight"? I went to www.worthingtoncylinders.com and got
the specs. on their steel and aluminum tanks. The tare wt. for 30# steel is
25.4 lbs. and the tare wt. for 30# aluminum is 18.0 lbs. Does this mean that
the weight per cylinder is 7.4 pounds less per cylinder?
FYI it looks like the diameter of both is the same but the height of the
aluminum is about 3" higher (2.963" to be exact) then the steel one.
I am a real safety conches person. Does any one have any input on what they
feel is the best quality hardware and configuration that should go from
aluminum tanks, starting with the valve, to main gas line?
Thanks
Silsby
