The Owner's Manual delivered with my Airstream states "Whenever the
trailer must be lifted with a jack, as changing a tire or leveling on
very rough terrain, ALWAYS PLACE THE LIFTING JACK UNDER THE MAIN FRAME
RAIL.  A label is provided to indicate the proper position for the
jack."  An accompanying diagram shows the position to be on the rail
just behind the rear axle.  A second entry, using different words, in
the next section states the same thing .
