It is amazing how far we have come we cannot survive without A C in the 1930s 
I grew up in central MO. Air condition was unheard of. the temp often reached 
110 on our back porch we worked the farm in that heat and survied.In 1944 I 
took basic training at Paris Texas during June through August 2 story barrics 
no A C. 20 mile hikes full field packs we survied. If necessary we could 
survive again 
. that said would I want to live without A C not on your life . I have grown 
old and lazy I spend my life seeking plasure and avoiding pain.
