The 3 amp rating is the imnportant rating. I assume you are talking about a glass cartridge, about 1/4" diameter, with metal caps on ends. If so, this is an AGC type fuse. You could use a "slow blow" type which is an MDL type. Any TV or stereo repair shop should have them, also auto parts stores. Don
