Thanks for the reply.  You got a real bargain.  I checked, and the
retail price for that digital system is now $355, and Discount Tire
wants another $100 for installation.  I suspect your purchase of new
tires helped a bit.

I ordered it anyway, and am waiting for the system to arrive to schedule
the installation.

Anyone interested should do a web search for SmarTire and read some of
the background info.  That's what finally made me go with it.

I've had one tire shred and beat up the wheel well, so the system cost
will be more than offset by the savings in repair costs.
