[A/S] unbiased opinion 5th wheel vs a/s trailer

Okay doc,

Your "spending money days" aren't over. With a son, they all become teenangers sooner or later. You
may as well get used to it. Buy a tent (big enough for sleepng and lounging) and plan on using it
all the time (he'll need a sleeping bag, his own backpack/suitcase, and more storage capabilities 
than you imagined possible). Allow for double the storage you anticipated and thought was "enough" -
by your stoddggie logical "parent standards."  

As for the 5th wheel, you might (maybe? manybe not) want to go that route, but you'd only be buying
storage space. You'll still need the tent <more grins>. INMO, it's easier to dedicate the truck's
storage space to the son. And, then get used to it; plus recognize that storage space may include
the boat on top of the canopy <gulp?>.

Frankly, it's easier to go directly to the bottom line than to muck around with approximations.
Instead, take the direct crossroad and make it simple. Then, congratulate yourself on a decision
well made. Seeeee - NOT much help, was I?
