I used the NADA guide as one, but it only goes back to the early 80's, I think.
The main sources for the vintage trailer we bought were to go through all the
ads on the Vintage Airstream site, airstream.net, the RV Trader online ads,
rvtraderonline.com, and the newspaper ads I could find (Seattle, San Fran, LA,
Phoenix, etc.)  I then made a chart of all the similar year and length trailers
with notes about condition and extras and their asking price.  An additional
consideration was location and the number of trailers available...less
availability = higher price.  I paid $7250 last July for our 72-27.  Probably a
bit high, but considering availability in the NW, and the better than average
condition (other than the awning track leaks) I was happy.  We signed the
paperwork and used it the same day.

I would also look at the criteria that Terry Tyler posted several times last
summer and fall...I think on the VAC list...
