[A/S] Clearcoat Finishes

Charlie,

That was the most informed and interesting discussion of A/S finishes I have
heard or read.  Thanks for the detailed information.

But what about the periods when A/S has reportedly used aluminum sheets
precoated by their manufacturer.  I was told that my '93 was assembled using
precoated sheets which turned out to be a mistake and resulted in A/S
returning to clearcoating at the factory following assembly.  Then again
last September, I was told that A/S had, once again, gone back to using
precoated sheets provided by Alcoa.  Can you confirm those statements or is
that just part of the clearcoat myth?

Charlie, did I read a post once in which you indicated that you are an
Airstream dealer or Airstream dealership employee?
