Have you considered the 'under-cabinet' type microwave? Due to the curvature
of the ceiling, even the smaller microwaves need to push out pretty far...
the under-cabinet mounting lets you mount it further back against the wall.
I did something like this in my SOB RV with a 1300-watt GE microwave
'Spacemaker II'... 24" wide, 12" deep, and 10.5" high... this is a
countertop model, and i built a shelf for it, as high up as i could go
before the ceiling starts to curve in.
