I would agree.  We are remodeling contractors and Pergo is indestructible my 
daughter has about 2500 sq.ft. of it in her house.  Her kids can wreck 
anything but have had no impact on the Pergo.  You don't want to walk around 
barefoot a lot cause it will irritate the bottom of your feet after a time.  
Don't know why of if it has changed since 4 yrs. ago.  Stuff still looks new. 
 We have a high quality carpet similar to auto carpet.  But still have to 
shampoo it often.
