[A/S] Re: water heater and cable

To solve our need for a dish wire to our 98 31: when I discovered
that the dish wouldn't work through the normal park cable entrance, I
removed the wall plate (the one with the red light on it). There I
found three cables tied in to some electronic circuity, one from the
park cable entrance, one from the roof antenna, and the third from
the bedroom. Each one of these cables is terminated by an F connector
like the one that screws into the back of your tv or satellite
receiver. I figured out which cable went to the electric hookup box
for the park cable. Then I drilled a hole in the wall plate and
mounted a barrel connector (2 bucks at Radio Shack) into the hole and
connected the park cable to the inside of the barrel. I then replaced
the wall plate. Now I have two cables going to the wall plate; one is
for the regular antenna and connects to the "anntenna in" connector
on the sat reciever. The other goes to the satellite receiver on
the "dish in" connection. The only modification is to the wall plate
which is available at electronic and rv stores should I want to "undo
it".
This works very well for us.
I hope this helps someone.

Happy camping
