I have a '99 Dodge Quad Cab, and wish I had gotten something in a crew
cab.  We travel with our Springer Spaniel, who wants the entire back
seat.  When our 5 1/2 year old grand-daughter travels with us, she's not
comfortable back there, so we put her booster in the front center. 
Besides having to compete with the dog for seat space, there really
isn't enough leg room even for a child in a Quad Cab.  I suspect any
extended cab is the same.

I wouldn't even consider traveling with adults in the back seat, even if
the dog wasn't there.  It's just to cramped.

Next time:  Crew Cab, 3/4 ton, long bed, diesel.
