I haven't heard much about the GMC in any of this "Truck Talk", but the
back seat in my 2000 extended cab is very conformable. I took my
neighbors on  3000 MILE TRIP and got nothing but very good comments
about the room in the back seat. Donna is a big lady, my guess is over
250 lbs. I have ridden for short trips in the back, I am 6 foot even and
weigh 215 lbs, and find the seat to be very comfortable. The GMC poop
sheet says it has the biggest rear seat in the industry. I don't know
about any of the other trucks on the market though. This is also my
first full sized truck. I bought the GMC because I thought it would do
the towing job for me ( 34' Limited), and they are sold by the dealer
that I have bought 3 Mercedes from, and the service department is
wonderful. That could be the reason I got a new engine at 1500 miles
when the oil pressure did not meet the standards of the service manager
even though it was within the limits set by the factory spec book, but
at the very bottom of the range. I now have 12,000 miles on the truck,
almost all of them towing the 34' A/S, and have not had one second of
problems. ai have covered most of the mountains in the East, but have
not taken on the Rockies yet. They come next summer when we take off for
Alaska with the A/S caravan.
BTW my truck is the 2500 Sierra rated for 11,200 towing weight, not a
dually.
