[A/S] Towing Vehicle!

I've been reading all the comments on the towing vehicle ideas so
thought I would add my two cents worth. I have 1986 GMC 3/4 ton Suburban
with the old 6.2 liter diesel engine. It now has over 185 thousand miles
on it. It's taken my 34' Airstream down to the Yucatan twice and gone to
Alaska and the Northwest territories twice. We are signed up for the
Panama trip so my wife felt we should get a new tow vehicle, so I traded
in her Olds on a 1 ton Chevy Express conversion done by Custom which you
have seen on the cover of the Blue Beret. It was a new 1999 so the price
was right. It has the 454 and special rear end. Rated at 10,000 lbs so
it should handle my 34 with ease.If I could have waited I would have
gotten something with the new GM diesel.
