You can buy RV extension cords with the plug & receptacle already on the
cord.

If you're not going to run the A/C, a half-decent regular cord with
appropiate adaptors is just fine, it doesn't take much to run the converter
for some lights, the furnace, etc. Even running a small micrwave oven and a
coffeepot would be OK if you run them one at a time.
