[A/S] adjustment on a suburban furnace

I have a '72 Tradewind with a Suburban furnace.  The furnace fires up 
just fine and the blower works but I am getting an orange flame with a 
subsequent build up of soot and CO.  I think the problem is improper 
adjustment of the gas/air mixture.  I am in Wyoming at 6000' where we 
need to open all propane powered appliances to the maximum setting for 
air mix at the burner tubes.  Can anyone tell me how to do this on a 
Suburban furnace.  I believe this furnace is original on my '72 
Airstream.  I have taken the cover off the furnace and looked around in 
there but cannot find the burner tube or mixture adjustment.
